OÜ Lahe Maamees is located in Northern Estonia, on the territory of Lahemaa National Park
The parents of Arno Pärna, our company’s founder, have lived and raised cattle in Võhma village, Haljala, Lääne-Virumaa since 1907.
In 2011, we started raising Limousine cattle. We have approximately 100 suckler cows and a total of 250 animals in our herd.
Our herd maintains approximately 200 hectars of species rich coastal meadows and semi-natural communities. High quality hay and silage for our herd is gathered from nearly 400 hectars of grasslands. This is the work of our diligent host Arno Pärna.
We are a certified organic farm, where happy cows are growing under the eyes of hardworking hosts.
It is of utmost importance to us that our Limousine cattle would have a calm nature and high milk production, be fast-growing, always clean, well fed and taken care of. For breeding we also use polled bulls. Breeding of livestock and ensuring their good life is the matter of heart of our sparkle-eyed hostess Diana Pärna.
We offer calves for fattening and we also grow cattle for high quality ecologically clean meat. However, the best animals from our herd are sold to supplement herds of other farms.
We enjoy what we are doing and seeing a nice red herd on a green grassland by the blue sea is just a wonderful sight!
