Heifers for mating
In this category, you will find heifers that are about 16 to 24 months old and can be immediately inseminated or mated by the new owner.
Pregnant heifers
Pregnant heifers offered by our farms are usually aged 2 to 2.5 years. At the moment of offering their pregnancy has been checked. The principles to avoid inbreeding have been followed in drawing up the mating plan.
Mating or artificial insemination is based on the fact that it is a first-born and the choice of bull is based on suitability for heifers. In particular, this means that the newborn calf is expected to be low in weight and therefore light in calving. We use the word “presumably” because it is never possible to predict exactly how a combination of genes given by both parents will manifest itself in one animal or another.
